Marjorie | An Avid Reader
Posted on November 24, 2015 by Julie Smead
Marjorie B. worked as an educational textbook editor at Harper & Brothers, but once held a job at Chrysler during World War II, testing and reassembling rifles while blindfolded.
As an editor, she loved being exposed to a wide variety of topics and still loves to read “pretty much any book, fiction or nonfiction.” While she doesn’t have a favorite, she recommends everyone read the Bible.
Marjorie and her husband, Dick, met on a double date and have four children, 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. According to Dick, Marjorie owes her longevity to “being well taken care of by her loving husband.”
