We’re committed to helping our residents stay active as they age, and today, we’d like to introduce you to some of our most inspiring residents. These amazing men and women are all over 100 years old, and they’ve shared their secrets for living a long, healthy life.
Dominic Miglino, 101 – Atria Plainview, New York
Dominic considers singing and dancing among his favorite hobbies, and he has many secrets to living a long life. It starts with prayer, exercise, drinking olive oil every day and taking a small shot of Remy Martin each morning.
Lillian Bukowski, 101 – Atria Sandy, Utah
Lillian was born in Germany, immigrated to the United States at age 17 and has spent much of her life traveling. Now, Lillian’s secret to keeping active is walking daily and living independently in her own apartment, where she loves to dance.
Samuel Arnovitz, 102 – Atria on the Hudson, New York
Before Samuel retired, he owned a bar and grill in Pennsylvania, and now he watches the stock market for fun. He says that his secret to living a long life has been the love he has for his wife.
Mildred Allen, 104 – Atria Woodbriar, Massachusetts
Mildred has been a guest conductor for the town band, attends public forums and town hall meetings and writes “Letters to the Editor” to the local paper. Her secret for longevity is having a positive attitude and always being ready to embrace the unknown.
John Gotelli, 103 – Atria Montego Heights, California
John is a regular participant in the health and fitness classes at his community, loves music and attends many musical performances and hardly misses a happy hour. His advice for living a long life is simple – don’t worry about anything
