From the first conversation, Atria's staff and administration welcomed both myself and my loved one into the community with the professionalism and dignity you'd expect of a family member. Having had relatives and colleagues at many of the assisted living facilities throughout Northeast Ohio, Atria provided a sense of comfort that truly put me at ease that my loved one was being cared and respected as though he was one of their own. The amenities and social opportunities available to Atria's residents are bar none, including a transport service to doctor's appointments and necessary errands - giving the resident both independence and security of being at home. The careful attention to detail in making sure your loved one is welcomed and personally integrated into the community is apparent from the moment you walk in the door. I cannot say enough good things about Atria at Newell Creek.

After 55 years in the same house it was time for Mom to get a little assistance. Still active and driving at 95 this was the perfect next step for her after a broken hip from a fall. The entire staff treats her with respect and they are so helpful and friendly. In one month she has made new friends and is enjoying herself so much that when I took her back to her house to get a few things she said, “It was good to visit but I like living at Atria better." The piece of mind that her children now have knowing she is in a safe and caring environment plus that she is happy is priceless.

My father-in-law is in this community and loves it. He engages with the other residents very well and is hardly is in his room; he's always out. He considers this his home now. They can wander all over and do what they want. The atmosphere in the community was one where people don't shy away. We liked the feel of it when you walk in; it feels homey. Even over in the dementia side, it's an inviting, calming atmosphere. My father-in-law is loving it.

My mother seems to have adjusted well to this community. Everything has worked out pretty well so far. They have a friendly staff and they are taking good care of her and her needs. They do a good job with keeping the community nice and clean. She is getting involved in the community, and that is nice to see. Overall, it has been a good experience and I would recommend it.

The Life Guidance program at Atria has provided my sweet mother-in-law with beautiful, safe and respectful environment. When we moved her to Atria 5 months ago, we did so because we were impressed with the philosophy of the Life Guidance Program and the staff that we saw practicing this philosophy. In the months she has been there, we have noticed an improvement in her physical and mental appearance. If it is possible to believe that a 94-year-old can thrive, we felt that she did. We are very pleased with the responsiveness of the director and staff. They embrace their residents and the family with respect and positive attitudes. If you are looking for a great place for your loved one with memory loss, please visit Atria and see for yourself how wonderful it is.
