As an only child, one of the hardest things I have had to do after laying my dad to rest was to make the decision to move my mother from the home she and dad shared for over 50 years… It was the people of Atria that made our decision. The care my mother receives is wonderful. Your dedicated staff is to be commended. I watch the gentleness of the servers, when a resident spills their drink and the assurance of \"its ok, accidents happen.\" I watch the gentleness as a CNA cares for those who can’t dress themselves, or guides them to their next activity. I watch as the nurse’s care for the health of the residents. I watch as the maintenance staff take care of the whole building and grounds, but also taking care of the residents who can’t figure out how to use a remote. I watch as the activities staff plan activities from painting fingernails to make the ladies feel special, to going on a wine tour. Each director, with the help of their staff makes the residents feel like family. It is heartwarming to watch as the residents support each other too. Many have had the same experiences and are there to listen and talk with their friends. I tremendously appreciate the support, love and dedication of the staff at Atria Manresa. Because of this care, I am able to be the daughter again and not the caregiver. As my mother ages, I treasure the time I have with her.
