What is assisted living?

Atria assisted living* communities provide personal care for older adults who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). Services can vary from community to community due to state licensing and regulation requirements, but assisted living services typically include:

  • Personal grooming assistance, such as bathing and getting dressed
  • Medication assistance
  • Incontinence management
  • Assistance with transfers in and out of a bed or chair

A select number of Atria’s assisted living communities also offer services that may include diabetes management, nebulizer and oxygen management, and catheter and ostomy care. Find an Atria community near you to ask about specific care services.

How much does assisted living cost?

Assisted living rates vary depending on a person’s needs and the Atria community where they live. In general, care services are offered for a monthly charge (in addition to monthly rent) based on the nature of the services and the time required to perform them.

To learn about monthly rates in your area, find an Atria community and schedule an appointment.

What sets Atria apart from other assisted living options?

At Atria, assisted living is about more than a helping hand; it’s about promoting overall well-being through a whole-person approach to aging that includes four key lifestyle choices: exercise, connection, nutrition and goals.

And our residents find everything they need to make wise choices – healthy dining options, exercise classes, a vibrant social environment and meaningful opportunities to learn and grow – right outside their doors.

Every Atria community is designed with these choices in mind. Along with a professional, 24-hour staff, here are some of the services and amenities that make it easy for our residents to enjoy greater well-being:

  • Chef-prepared meals in on-site dining venues
  • Scheduled transportation to local events, errands and appointments
  • A social calendar with daily opportunities for learning, creativity, fitness and fun
  • Housekeeping service
  • Coordination with outside healthcare providers
  • Private apartments with personal alert systems in case of emergencies

How do I know if assisted living at Atria can provide the right care?

Our assisted living communities have a licensed nurse on staff who will perform an assessment to determine if we are the right fit. Even if we aren’t, we will help you find a place that is. Locate an Atria community near you to learn more or schedule an appointment.
