Hugs and Homemade Ornaments Around the Tree
Posted on December 25, 2013 by Taylor Rhea
A delightful and enthusiastic group of Girl Scouts from Troop 4071 in Forest Hills came together with residents at Atria Kew Gardens in New York to turn a modest tree into a magical display of holiday spirit, artistic creativity and fun.
The girls prepared for the project by crafting an impressive variety of beautiful homemade ornaments using wood, paint, glitter, twine, and materials inspired by their youthful imaginations. The results of their efforts were truly impressive.
The girls also decorated a tree in our Life Guidance® neighborhood and made giant gingerbread cookies for the residents.
Both the Girls Scouts and the Atria residents who joined them in decorating had a warm and wonderful holiday experience, complete with love, laughs, and plenty of hugs.
