All the staff at Atria Carmichael Oaks were so nice to my mom during the 5 years she lived there on the independent side. When I visited, I found it to be a warm, friendly and accommodating environment where the staff routinely went beyond the call of duty to make things easy and comfortable for the residents and their families, and to make it feel like a real community. When my mom died, the staff were super helpful, in big and small ways, to my sister and me as we cleaned out her apartment -- and those who could even came to the Celebration of Life we had for her, because they really cared. To me, it always felt like Mom was living in a regular apartment building (but with more help available) rather than "a home" - it never had that awful "institutional" feel. This is entirely due to the staff and how dedicated they are. Thank you all so much -- Becky, Olga, Ryan, Millie, Carol, Dan, all the servers in the dining room, and everyone whose face I know but whose name I can't remember -- for everything you did for Mom.

Our mom has been living at Atria for 8 months and could not be happier. She has stepped right into all the activities and is very comfortable having new friends to interact with on a daily basis. Fear of being along, falling, not eating correctly are all things of the past. All of mom's friend's have commented what a great asset moving into Atria has been for mom. Lots of exercise, fun field trips, games and movies are all a part of her day. The meals are wonderfully prepared to her taste and, of course, lots of ice cream - her favorite food. This has been the right move for mom. Complements to all the staff!!

I have lived at Atria Carmichael Oaks for three months, and I am extremely happy here. There are many activities to keep residents occupied, if they so wish; the food and food service have even improved greatly in my short time here. I would especially commend Millie Geyer as \"assistant activities director\". She is constantly moving from one area to another, keeping residents engaged in many activities, preparing and decorating spaces for other activities and always smiling! Kudos to Millie! -Charlotte Murphy

I can't say enough about this young man. He has changed my life here at Atria. Through him I have had an opportunity to become more independent and confident in spite of my disability. He cares about us residents and truly enjoys his job. I can now go do simple shopping and other things that I usually had to depend on other people for. Thank you Ryan.

Moving here was the best thing that could have happened to her. At 93, my grandmother was starting to drift into quiet spells and talking to herself out of loneliness. But here, there are so many activities and people to interact with that she is sharper than ever. She plays poker bingo, watches movies, goes on excursions to the countryside, gets massages, and gets rides to doctor's appointments. She has friends and gossip and is fun to hang out with again.

I helped my Aunt recently move into this property after checking out other properties in the area. She has only been there for a couple of weeks but she really likes their restaurant style food service and the fact she can find snacks 24/7 in their cute little Bistro. The food choices and quality are much better than where she was before. The property offers wonderful little alcove spaces with fireplaces and comfortable seating. They have a full activity schedule, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The property is very clean and offers a very comfortable and welcoming environment. Overall, a really great value and I believe my Aunt will be very happy here!
