Love and Longevity: Timeless Advice from an Atria Couple
Posted on February 15, 2015 by Amira Rubin
Meet Atria Woodlands residents Anne and Tom K. The two met at age 17 at a mutual friend’s birthday party in Brooklyn, New York and have been inseparable ever since.
A couple at Anne’s school introduced her to Tom because they thought they’d be a good match … and they were right!
For Tom, it was love at first sight. “I just knew she was the one right away.”
Anne took a little more time before making up her mind. But it didn’t take too long before she was on the same page.
What does Anne love most about her husband?
“He’s easygoing, never complains and is a great father.”
With more than 60 years of marriage under their belt and having raised four children, Anne and Tom say the best advice they can give to other couples is this: “Don’t sweat the small things. We don’t disagree. Well, here and there. But we let it be and don’t argue on.”
