Your privacy is important to us. We’ve developed this Privacy Notice that explains how we collect, use, disclose, transfer, and store your information in connection with use of the ATRIA STORYWISE Application (“App”). This website is administered by Atria Senior Living, Inc. in Louisville, Kentucky, USA (“Atria”). By using the App, you expressly agree to the collection, use and transfer of your information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The Information We Collect

User Provided Information. Atria does not collect personally identifiable information that is not provided by the user. If you choose to provide personally identifiable information directly to Atria, we agree to maintain such personally identifiable information in confidence and will use it only for the purposes of furthering our business and those of our affiliates, and their respective successors and assigns, as set forth in this Privacy Policy. We will not disseminate or otherwise publish the information that you may provide other than in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use for the App. However, please note that Atria shall not treat as confidential and shall not have any duty to protect any information that you submit, post, or otherwise make available to or share with the public through use of the App.

Information about Use of the App. We may also collect information about the use of the App. Collecting information about how you use our App helps us improve our services. Your device will contain a unique device identifier that is either part of the hardware of your device or automatically assigned to your device by the operating system or software. We may associate your unique device identifier with other information and treat this information as personally identifiable for so long as it is combined. This information is used to personalize your service.

When you use the App we may automatically collect and store certain information in server logs including but, not limited to, internet protocol addresses, device model and make information. We may use this information to personalize the services offered by us, to distinguish your device from others, prevent fraud, provide technical support, respond to your needs, and/or otherwise to access and improve the functionality, performance, and desirability of the App. We may also gather general statistical information about our App and patterns of its users, points earned by location or user type, rewards granted and redeemed. We use this data to improve and customize your experience with the App.

The Way We Use Information

Information Not Sold or Rented. We do not sell or rent personally-identifying information collected during your use of our App without your permission. The information we collect will be utilized to communicate with you about the App and about features and promotions associated with the App. We also use information to statistically analyze site usage, to improve our content and product offerings and to customize our App’s content, layout, and services.

Use of Information in the Social Computing Environment. The App includes social computing tools to enable online sharing and collaboration for users who choose to use them. Any information or other content you post or divulge, such as pictures, information, opinions or any other type of personally identifiable information that you make available to other participants on these social platforms is deemed non-confidential, public information and is not subject to this Privacy Policy. However, such content may be subject to the Terms of Use of this website and/or those social platforms, and any additional guidelines and privacy information provided in relation to their use. Please refer to applicable terms and conditions. You should be aware that content you post on any such social computing platforms may be made broadly available to others inside and outside Atria.

With your permission, we may also use stories, videos, and other information you provide to share with Atria communities, including Atria’s social media communities such as Facebook.

Merger

In the event a portion or all of our business is sold or merged with another entity, your personal information may be transferred to the other entity as a part of the business transfer or merger.

We may use your information to deliver information to you through the App that in some cases, is targeted to your interests, such as targeted banners, new services and promotions.

Fulfilling your request

If you request something from Atria, for example, information about a community, a callback or specific marketing materials, we may use the information you provide to fulfill your request. To help us do this, we may share information with others, for instance, a specific Atria community or regional staff member who can best handle the request. In connection with a transaction, we may also contact you as part of our customer satisfaction surveys or for market research purposes.

Providing support

We may use your personally identifiable information to notify you of events, news or upcoming developments.

Marketing

The information you provide to Atria, as well as the information we have collected about you indirectly, may be used by Atria for Atria’s marketing purposes. You may at any time choose not to receive marketing materials from us by following the unsubscribe instructions included in each email you may receive, by indicating that you wish to unsubscribe when we call you, or by contacting us directly (please refer to “Opt-Out Procedures” below).

Security

We strive to protect your personally identifiable information and to maintain its accuracy. Atria implements reasonable physical, administrative and technical safeguards to help us protect your personally identifiable information from unauthorized access, use and disclosure. Atria will not give, rent or sell your personally identifiable information to third parties in any manner contrary to this Privacy Policy.

Your use of the App is password-protected. We recommend that you do not divulge your password to anyone. Our personnel will never ask you for your password in an unsolicited phone call or in an unsolicited e-mail.

No data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure. As a result, while we try to protect your personal information, we cannot ensure or guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

Atria Apps may contain links to non-Atria websites that are not affiliated with Atria. Atria is not responsible for the privacy practices, information collection practices, or the content of those other websites or any damages resulting therefrom. These sites can collect information such as, but not limited to, your personally identifiable information related to your online activities over time. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site to read the privacy policies of each website that collects personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy applies solely to information collected by use of this App.

How You Can Update, Correct or Delete Your Information

Changes to Our Policy

We may change the Privacy Policy from time to time. Should we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, we will revise the “Effective Date” promptly. Should we make any material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will provide notice thereof by prominently displaying a notice or pop-up upon logging in to the App stating that the Privacy Policy will be changed, identifying how to find out about the changes, and when the changes will go into effect.
